You don’t have to know every yoga posture and be able to do it perfectly!
Know why? What is a “perfect” yoga posture anyways? The perfect yoga postures are what feel best for each person’s individual mind, body and spirit. Don’t let yourself get hung up on what you see on the latest fitness or yoga magazine. It is not about the image. It is about the feeling. Don’t know the difference between cat and cow? Don’t worry! You will learn that in your training!
I don’t have a 200-hour teaching certification!
You don’t have to have one! A 200-hour teacher training program is packed full of OM-AZING information but it is not a prerequisite to learn to teach yoga to children. Many of our teachers take our Children’s Yoga Teacher Training as their first ever yoga teaching certification. You will learn everything you need to get started in our Little Lotus training. Many of our students do go on to eventually complete a 200-hour training because they fall head over heels in love with yoga and jump on the life long learning path!
I don’t have children of my own!
So? Having children is definitely not a prerequisite to becoming a children’s yoga teacher and you don’t have to have experience working with children either. You need an open mind, an interest to learn and a passion for young souls. If you are willing to remember what it is to be playful, inquisitive and curious then you are ready to jump in and work with children.
